YIKES!!! Even the dog has been sucked into our crazy misadventures...bless her little heart...heehee! I guess the kids just couldn't resist after playing dress up yesterday...they really felt the need to include our little pup, seeing as how she would feel left out ya know!
I know, it's sad....silly...worthless...downright mean and a TOTAL waste of time to be dressing up a dog...but come on dear friends...you know it's funny ;-) And she really doesn't mind too much...I promise!!!
By the way...Meet Maisy! She is our newest addition...she found us (we were NOT looking) and we kinda liked her. She was a stray that hung around the new house for a couple days...after checking for missing dog ads, checking craigslist, and the local vets offices...I finally decided to give it a test run...
1) I caught her, feed her and then began the checking over process. She was loaded with fleas and ticks...SO we bathed her and started tick removal...YUCK!!! But she was now fresh as a rose and pest free!
2) Next up...kid testing. We let her play with the kids and tried all sorts of things to get her to show her true colors...good news, she is bomb proof!
3) Next step...it was off to the vet to test for heartworms and lyme disease...if she had them she was not a candidate for our house...simply because I can't afford the treatment. Good news...no heartworms!
4) So we got her annual shots, got her wormed and found out that she was about 9 months old and weighed 9lbs :-) AND she was already spayed!!!
5) Bring her home and test out her potty manners! Check ~ she's potty trained!
6) We have been teaching her tricks and she loves Rachel Ray doggie treats (just FYI)!
All in all, she is a wonderful dog and a great addition to our household! Now...if I can just get her to stop chasing crickets in the yard...LOL She thinks they are play toys!
